Brian, alongside AGM Victor Pastor and Front Desk Manager Sandra Monsalve, has been at the helm of the Hampton Inn since 2007, guiding it with unwavering dedication. In 2017, when Ideal Hospitality acquired the hotel, it quickly became one of our top-performing assets, earning numerous accolades, including Hotel of the Year for 2021.

Nestled in a thriving commercial area, the hotel’s renovation was a long time coming, having been delayed due to the challenges of the Covid pandemic. But now, it stands as a beacon of excellence, perfectly positioned to welcome leisure guests exploring downtown Atlanta and Stone Mountain State Park, as well as corporate travelers drawn by its proximity to Chamblee, Doraville, and Decatur.

Stature Investments and Ideal Hospitality Investments, two leading real estate development and investment firms in the Southeast, celebrated a major milestone with the topping-off ceremony for the Digby, a highly anticipated six-story boutique hotel located at 200 W. Bryan St. The companies are co-owners of the project, with Stature handling development and construction and Ideal Hospitality managing the hotel and food and beverage operations.

The ceremony marked the placement of the final steel beam atop the structure, poised to become a vibrant centerpiece of the city’s historic core as it is located on the last remaining vacant lot on Ellis Square in historic downtown Savannah, Ga.

Among other guests featured here, Dana and her sister Sue kicked off Dana’s birthday in style with a trip to Wilmington, where they were greeted with open arms and a warm welcome! These sisters, who journeyed from Virginia Beach, will be making regular visits to stay with us as they visit their father. Dana left us a heartwarming note that truly made our day:

“Thank you so much for making this a great time for our visit. Everyone was so wonderful to us, and we will always stay with our new family at the Home2! Good luck!”

Kicking off the day with a momentous occasion, our management team, led by the incredible Jarrod Howell, took part in the official blessing of the hotel. It was a powerful and uplifting start, setting the tone for the exciting journey ahead!

In small groups, they rolled up their sleeves and participated in hands-on exercises at our 2023 Hotel of the Year, where they tackled room cleaning, laundry processing, and workspace organization to learn best practices from each other.

The day continued with delicious food and fun team-building activities at Dave & Buster’s, bringing everyone closer together.

We wrapped up at Hyatt Place Savannah Airport with final sessions dedicated to reviewing SOPs and crafting improvement plans for all ten of our Ideal Hospitality hotels across Georgia, Florida, and North Carolina. The energy was electric, and the commitment to excellence was unmistakable!

The awards were presented over the course of three days of meetings which included budget planning and the formation of our plans for 2024.

The meetings concluded with a holiday party and our annual Passing of the Belt Ceremony.  Past honorees Cindy Harper, Brian Mock, and Maria Cobos presented the Belt for Hotel of the Year to Heather Nugent & Team of the Holiday Inn Express Port Wentworth.
